Participate in the Media Initiative for Children Respecting Difference Programme

Calling all early childhood care and education settings in the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area - would you like to participate in the Early Years evidence-based Media Initiative for Children Respecting Difference Programme?

Are you working in a day care, pre-school summer scheme or out of school services with young children aged 3 to 6 years in the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area?

Can you commit to one training workshop over four days on the dates below?

  • Online training workshop 1 - 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th October 2020 from 10am to 1pm

  • Online training workshop 2 - 19th, 26th October, 2nd and 9th November 2020 from 6pm to 9pm

  • Online training workshop 3 - 10th, 11th, 18th and 19th November 2020 from 10am to 1pm                                         

The project includes:

  • Four days training.

  • Mentoring support per participant.

  • Quality age and culturally appropriate resources.

  • Minimum of four Respecting Difference sessions by participants with children aged 3 to 6 years to include a minimum of two delivered within a cross community setting.

  • Support to deliver a minimum of 26 hours of sustained cross community contact.
