This course will explore how practitioners can share the HighScope approach with parents through a series of active parent workshops which also support parents to use the HighScope approach at home.
This 12 day course (1 day per month) provides participants with the opportunity to explore the areas of the High/Scope Curriculum and to gradually introduce the Curriculum in their settings. The course is designed for those working with young children aged 3-6 years who wish to begin to use the High/Scope approach in Playgroup, Nursery School, Primary School, and Day care settings. Regular assignments and an end of course site visit are required elements of this course.
This one or two day course provides participants with the opportunity to explore how adults view problem solving situations, how the HighScope process enables young children to develop important social skills and introduces the HighScope conflict resolution steps used in the process.
The course is designed for practitioners implementing the HighScope approach and practitioners using other approaches in Day Care, Pre-School, Nursery School, Primary School, and After School settings.
