Training Programme

The training of early years' practitioners/teachers to implement the programme is a vital component of this initiative and much work has gone into the development of this.

Through the training diversity is translated into practice as practioners and teachers are given ideas to help them maximise the potential of the MIFC resources.

The MIFC Respecting Difference three day Introductory Training offers practioners and teachers opportunities to reflect on their own values, attitudes and bias as well as building up skills to implement the programme.

Since 2006 the training has been delivered on a cross border basis. Staff from more than 500 early years settings and schools have completed the three day Introductory Training.

Follow up training and relevant Workshops are also available.

Ongoing support from an Early Years Specialist is available for member groups.
