Family health is being given a kick-start at a Health Fair at Avoniel Leisure Centre next Tuesday morning (23 October).

A Bangor pre-school playgroup is celebrating after achieving the highest possible grade during a recent inspection. Crawfordsburn Playgroup at Ballygilbert Church was graded ‘outstanding’ by the Department of Education. It is the first playgroup to have been awarded the top mark in the North Down and Ards area.

We need to get our pre-school policy right. It matters to thousands of parents who rely on quality pre-school education and care to continue working and make a valuable contribution to our economy. More importantly, it matters because our children’s early education is the bedrock of our future economic potential.

Early Years Fermanagh successfully applied to SWARD (South West Action for Rural Development) for the funding of a small resource and learning library in the Fermanagh Early Years Centre, Trory, Enniskillen.-

Four local daycare groups are among 24 which received All Ireland Centre of Excellence Awards accreditation at a gala event at the Culloden Hotel, Belfast, on Saturday 24 March 2012 attended by Junior Minister, Jonathan Bell MLA.
