Early Years recognise the critical importance of community involvement and the need for robust governance in community based settings.
The feedback from groups and stakeholders working suggests that the community based sector is facing unprecedented challenges. We commonly hear that some groups are having difficulty recruiting management committees, getting people to stand for committee roles such as Chair and are struggling under the weight of increasing regulation.
Early Years has created the ‘Community Development Survey’ to gather evidence from across the community based early years sector. By completing the survey below it will help us to understand the current situation, uncover what is causing the issues and to propose actions that can be taken to improve the situation.
Please also note that this survey is only relevant to groups that have a voluntary management committee. There will be a separate survey for early years practitioners and focus groups implemented to complete the analysis.
All information will be held in complete confidence and not attributed to any group. We would ask you therefore to be as honest as possible.
If you do not want to or cannot fill this survey online you can request for a hard copy to be sent to you. Please contact Diarmuid Moore by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 028 9066 2825 (option 2).
