Last week saw the launch of the Rural Respecting Difference Programme, involving the Northern Ireland Rural Development Council, Early Years – the organisation for young children and the Border Counties Childhood Network. The announcement was made at a major International Childhood Development conference hosted by Early Years in the Europa Hotel, Belfast.

Early Years is pleased to announce the retention of its ISO 9001:2008 certification obtained within the Finance and Fund Management Departments. The certification was originally obtained in January 2011 and since then the teams have undergone two rigorous annual assessments, the most recent of which was in January 2013.

A new Obesity Prevention Programme has been developed and will run for four weeks, with each session lasting 1½ hours.
