The All Ireland Centre of Excellence Awards
Early Years – the organisation for young children and Early Childhood Ireland provide an accreditation programme that supports the development of quality in full day childcare services throughout Ireland.
Based on self-evaluation, the programme can be used as an ongoing focus on quality to identify where a service is on its quality journey and what strategies it needs to promote quality improvement.
A Self-Evaluation Profile document is available which clearly states the ten areas to be addressed by the service and the required standard to be met. There is a team of experienced early years validators who represent Early Years and Early Childhood Ireland, whose role is to assess the service against the self-evaluation profile.
All Ireland Centre of Excellence Awards March 2012
All Ireland Centre of Excellence Awards were presented at the Culloden Hotel in March 2012. Four local daycare groups are among 24 which received the award.
